At the time of writing, I have two group classes left to teach this year, which means the 2024 season is almost done.
I've been teaching dance since ~2001. Every year I've taught has been hard to get through. Being a freelance artist is not an easy life, but it's the one I chose.
With that said, 2024 has been among the best years I've ever had. Classes were mostly full all year, and this is the first time in many years that I feel like a community has genuinely embraced me and my classes.
While the summer was a struggle (as it always is), this year was still filled with full classes and smiling faces. Not everyone who took my classes this year walked out as an expert dancer, but at the bare minimum, I'd like to think that everyone who participated in one (or more) of my classes walked out having had a good time and a new appreciation for how difficult this skill is.
In the end, 2024 has been one of my favorite years as an instructor. I can only hope that 2025 is bigger and better than any year previous in no small part because of all of you who continue to support us and help us grow.
In the words of a great philosopher, thanks! And thanks again!
